Found some neat tools for finding items on eBay, potentially even some hidden bargains because they have been listed incorrectly. Basically, you key in one or more words of the item you are looking for and the tool generates a search string that looks for typical misspellings. An example given is "toshia" where the person meant to type "toshiba". I've used 'http://www.typohound.com/", but with a quick search I also found http://www.missing-auctions.com/, http://www.goofbid.com/, http://www.typobay.com/, http://www.fatfingers.co.uk/, http://www.biddetective.com/, and http://www.greyorgray.com/ebay-misspellings-tool.html. No doubt there are many more....
The story about the most expensive spelling blunder makes for interesting reading!
