Air SUPER+ subscription is now available for purchase and it's quite revolutionary idea. Basically you pay AUD 309 annual subscription fee and then get unlimited travel to up to 130 destination for year long.
There are two levels of subscription. Flights under 4 hours require $309 subscription so if you are looking to travel within Asia, you will be fine with the basic subscription. For flights longer than 4 hours (including flights to and from Australia and flight to and from India, China, Japan etc.), you will need to buy SUPER+ Premium subscription which covers all flights regardless of distance and costs $799 per month.
All countries covered:
✅ Malaysia
✅ Thailand
✅ Philippines
✅ Indonesia
✅ Singapore
✅ Vietnam
✅ Cambodia
✅ Myanmar
✅ Laos
✅ Brunei
✅ Japan - SUPER+ Premium subscription
✅ Korea - SUPER+ Premium subscription
✅ Australia - SUPER+ Premium subscription
✅ Maldives - SUPER+ Premium subscription
✅ China (TW/HK/MO) - SUPER+ Premium subscription
✅ India - SUPER+ Premium subscription
So what's the catch? You will still need to pay airport taxes and other surcharges and you can only book certain flights so it kind of works like using frequent flyer points which is still a great deal.
Why Air Asia is doing it if it seems like such a good bargain for passengers? Because Airlines need to raise revenue after Covid travel interruptions and they think a lot of people will buy the subscription but won't use it as much. Great bargain if you travel to Asia/Japan/India/China and have a bit of flexibility with your schedule or can book flights well in advance and loads of people will buy this subscription and try to book during busy periods.
Purchase Period: 5 - 11 Dec 2022
