With the abundance of resources of free content on the internet be it YouTube or Reddit or vimeo or whatever paying $10-12 AUD a month is a lot extra to pay for just for a small selection of tv shows , stand ups and movies.
Especially if you are from Australia where our catalogue is very small compared to the US and if you want to watch Netflix US you have to pay an extra few $ to unlock it as no free vpns I found could access it.
Also even if you find a right working vpn there is a small chance it could be found and closed down or caught thus leaving you to find another vpn or just watch your countries Netflix minus the vpn.
TL;DR Netflix for me is a rip off but thankfully not as rip off as "cable tv" like Stan and foxtel which charge their customers even more for very selective small content.
My current regret and money waster is food and buying videogames.
I tell myself that they are cheap and on sale and I will play it when I am older but realistically they are not cheap and I spend hundreds of dollars on them every month sometimes even more.
When I am old I don't want to play videogames I just want to rest and relax and have peace.
With food it is also an addiction thing like I spend minimum $20 when I go out or after work it is terrible and I cant stop it.
I should be eating home cooked meals but I have an addiction to spending money it is hard to try.
The logic is I am getting a bargain when in reality not spending anything at all is the better decision/bargain.
So yeah trying to slow down games buying but every week month there is something new to watch and play.
And with food family home life make it difficult to do anything because of stupid rules where I am living so yeah my life is a fuck up and I hate it.
I should be saving for a car for work but I keep spending my money on stupid things.
